Bojnice is a peaceful spa town located in the heart of Slovakia. Its geographic location, mild climate and thermal water provides ideal conditions for the curative tratment processes and regeneration.

The natural, curative, hypotonic acratothermal water with the temperature ranging from 28 to 52 °C. It springs from 9 wells with the spring-discharge of 40 liters per a second from the depth of 1200-1500 meters. The acratothermal water improves metabolism and immunologic reactions, alleviation of pain, improvement of muscular tension. The curative water positively affects the autonomic nervous system, in particular its parasympathetic part.

Scientifically proven healing and preventive spa programs are offered during 14 – 28 day stays. For all guests there is 24-hour medical service included in the price of the stay. All medical products are guaranteed, satisfying the legal norm criteria of the Ministry of Health of the Slovak Republic in such issues as staff competence, therapeutic processes and material and technical equipment. All inclusive stays consist of consultations with experienced physician, medical care during spa stay and spa treatments according to prescription of a spa physician. The history of the spa town is connected to the history of the Bojnice Castle. The first written document about thermal sources is preserved in the document of the King Koloman from 1113, which is deposited in Zobor abbey. The castle has a rich history from its origin at the time of King Koloman, through the reign of Bela IV, Matus Cak Trenciansky, Jan Corvinus and the House of Turzo and Palfy. Between the owners of the castle Alex Turzo was the first, who built the spa in the first half of the 16th century. In the 17th century the owners of the castle were the Palfys, they have built in Bojnice a modern European health resort, used first of all by Austro-Hungarian aristocracy. Modern development of the spa started in the 30-ties of the 20th century, when the owner of the spa was Tomas Bata, well-known businessman. Climate Warm sedative, temperature moist lowlands climate, with gentle winter. It has favorable climatic conditions with the average annual temperature of 9°C and 2000 hours of sunshine within a year.

The spa town Bojnice is situated in the Upper Nitra hollow basin, at the eastern foot of the mountain chain Little Magura, 297 meters above the sea level. From three sides it is protected by mountain chains with thick hardwood and conifer forests.
