In the spa town Dudince is a unique healing water. The only other water that can be found with similar composition is in Japan and in the well-known French spa Vichy.

The content of almost 1,600 mg of carbon dioxide and 6 mg of hydrogen-sulfide in one litre makes the water unique world wide. Next healing factor is the thermal phenomenon – water is warmed for individual baths in a tub up to 34 - 36 °C, for bath in a pool it is warmed up to 34 °C. There are two spa hotels available for the clients of the company Spa Dudince – the standardly equipped Spa House Smaragd and the reconstructed Spa House Rubin, each of them have own restaurant. Both spa houses are situated near each other and are interconnected by a connecting hall, which offers the clients a possibility of using all the services (including procedures) directly in the complex. This is a very practical especially in winter.

THE SPA HOUSE RUBIN (3 stars): offers 357 beds in 194 rooms on six floors. The guests can choose from accommodation in a single room or in a double room and in 16 suites and studios. All rooms are equipped with a balcony (except for a few small suits without balcony), toilette, bathroom, telephone, refrigerator and a TV with possibility of watching satellite programmes. In 2005 a complex reconstruction of accommodation premises was completed in order to offer more comfort to clients – rooms are equipped with new furniture and are decorated in pleasant pastel colors. Directly in the Spa House Rubin you can use complementary services, such as cosmetics, hairdresser's, Osteon Shop, shop selling gifts, restaurant “Rubin”, Espresso “Kristal”, Relax Centrum “Euforia” and other. There is also a winter garden with a small lake in the premises – a small piece of nature directly in the Spa House will cheer eyes of every visitor, whether in the summer or in the winter.

Dudince was first mentioned in written documents under the name “Dyud” in the 13th century. The archaeological findings proved that animals lived in this territory earlier than human beings; however, approximately 5000 BC the territory of Dudince was settled by its native inhabitants. At the beginning of the Bronze Age, people of so-called Moschon and Hungarian culture settled here. Romans came later. Although they stayed here for rather a short period, their presence was important, as Romans gave name to the travertine formations – natural pools near the spa town Dudince – called the “Roman Spa”. The Romans appear also in the old legend about the origin of the healing water spring of Dudince. Later archaeological reports document presence of Slavs in the territory.

The town of Dudince is situated in the warmest area of Slovakia. Thanks to its geographical location, the town has many sunny days with temperature over 25 °C and many clear and calm days.
